I'm listening to a student (Rhitwika Sensharma) discuss her experiences with blogging at #ELI2012. She talked about a blog post where she discussed her feelings about failure in school. It really resonated with me. She saw herself as a failure when she didn't get good grades. I see a brilliant young mind who was failed by a broken educational system. When she talked about learning how to succeed in the system to get good grades, I saw yet another student forced to conform to a rigid environment. We're the ones who are failing the students.
